I’m Kai, the founder of 42.195 for children - a global sports initiative that combines endurance sport with meaningful impact.
As a passionate marathon runner, I have completed all six World Marathon Majors. Sport has taught me commitment, patience, and trust - values that now form the foundation of my initiative and through which I aim to inspire others to get active, get involved, and make a difference together.
Through 42.195 for children, I combine running, fundraising and helping others. Every kilometre becomes a step towards giving children access to healthcare, education and new opportunities.
Beyond sport, travelling the world shapes my life. Different cultures and encounters constantly remind me of how powerful movement can be in forging connections.
You can also hear a personal insight into the idea behind the initiative in the podcast with Klaus Ruscher.
There, I talk about how 42.195 for children came about, what drives me and why I believe that every single kilometre can make a difference.

My next athletic goal is an Ironman 70.3 - a combination of swimming, cycling and running. For me, this challenge symbolises what I believe in: strength comes from pushing ourselves further, step by step.
Sporting regards, Kai 💙
